I’ve been wanting to do this for a long time, but you know how it is, you never find time for these things.
So a few weeks ago I decided, that’s it! I’m moving my blog (I bought the domain a while ago but didn’t actually do anything with it…).
Where and When
My new domain is www.gotodba.com and it’s not up yet, but it will be available probably over the weekend or early next week (it’s ready, I just need to tweak a couple of things and set up a redirect from amitzil.wordpress.com).
What
The look and feel is different and I plan to add lots of stuff to the site (I have lots of plans, execution might take time…). The blog is still a big part of it and a direct link is www.gotodba.com/blog.
Follow
Unfortunately, I haven’t set up following options yet. For now there are a few options: You can follow me on Twitter or LinkedIn, I publish my posts there as well. Another option will be to use the new site’s RSS. Once I set up mail subscription (working on a solution for this), I will send an invitation to my current wordpress email followers to subscribe (I can’t really do this for people that used their wordpress account to follow me, so if you are a wordpress follower, either follow me now with your email or join later on when it’s available).

If you have any comments or feedback on the new site when it’s up, please use the “contact” page. I’ll be happy to hear what you think and fix issues that might arise from the move.
Links
I’m not sure how existing links to amitzil.wordpress.com will work. Once I go live, I’ll put a permanent redirect here so it might work (it might not, I’ll check when I can). I will try to contact sites and people that have links to my blog and ask them to change the link to the new domain. If you find any broken links in my site, please let me know. If you find any broken link on someone else’s, please either let me or them know so it can be fixed.

That’s it, I’d like to thank wordpress.com for hosting my blog for so long, but it’s time to move on. I’m moving to wordpress.org now and I hope you’ll like the change.
